This article is a Sabnautica The Reaper Leviathan guide. The Reaper Leviathan is an tremendously hostile, carnivorous, creature of leviathan-class life form. It inhabits multiple diverse regions on planet 4546b. With its long white and red-colored snake-like body with four large, red mandibles on its face and a large, red, flat horn on the top of its head, which it uses to fight when in conflict with other creatures or its prey, it is extremely aggressive. Leviathan class species are massive beasts, streamlined hunter, with a highly developed sense hence, at the top of their food chains.
Echolocation
When the reaper leviathan roars at regular intervals, it is effectively sonar.
Powerful Mandibles
It has four powerful mandibles. This leviathan can lock prey and drag it within reach of its jaws and with its simulated pressure exceeds the strength of Sea moth crush resistance.
Profile
The scanned specimen is 55m long and they can observe their prey and attack from behind. This creature is all muscles, synapses, and teeth.
Habitual Preferences of Reaper Leviathan
The habitual preference for large open areas in the ocean is found in certain biomes, such as the the Dunes, Crash Zone, and the Mountain.
The Dunes biome is like, sand dunes that go to deep depths, most of its seabed land being 300 meters deep. Mostly, Sand Sharks and Stalkers inhabit this biome. But it is dominated by lots of Reaper Leviathans fighting constantly for territory.
Crash Zone is an empty, more dead looking counterpart to the Grassy Plateau biome, only deadlier when the aurora ship crashed into it, killing many lifeforms on impact. Only Sand Sharks and Stalkers inhabit the crash zone, but Reapers lurk the area for smaller lifeforms to eat. Even though Reapers are blind as bats, their roars work as echolocation, so it is easy for them to hunt.
As you go deeper, it gets darker, which is dangerous because if a Reaper spots you, you better be on your toes because you will not see its shadow until the last second and that’s what makes the Dunes biome so uniquely dangerous,
The Mountains biome on the other hand has sharp and pointy parts of the rocky landscape that shape it like a miniature mountain area.It has its name because Mountain Island is at the edge of the biome. This too gets dark as you go deeper, but it’s less dangerous than the Dunes biome.
Encountering A Reaper Leviathan
A common encounter area with a Reaper Leviathan is at the back or front of the aurora during the day, as there are few patrols around the crashed ship. An unlucky player can easily encounter the large creature making roars that would be attracted to your flashlight. When and if you are in front of a Reaper with no equipment like a Stasis Rifle or Repulsion Cannon, best option to avoid dying or losing stuff is to swim away to a safe distance away from the reaper while maintaining keeping watch of the creature, so as to know if the leviathan is pursuing you. Then break open an Alterra-issue safety flare you grabbed from your life pod and throw it towards it from a safe distance away.
